Reeh Al Madinah Shifts US Fulfillment to New York, Offering Free Shipping on Orders Over $50

The 1991-founded Arabian oud house now ships US orders domestically, replacing a $40 flat rate with $5.95 standard delivery, free above $50.

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Reeh Al Madinah, a luxury oud and perfume house founded in the United Arab Emirates in 1991, has begun fulfilling United States orders from a New York facility, replacing the cross border arrangement that had shipped American orders from its United Kingdom warehouse.

Under the previous setup, US customers paid a flat $40 shipping rate with a stated transit time of 8 to 10 working days. Orders were also subject to customs duties, import taxes and clearance fees payable by the recipient on arrival, amounts the company could not quote at checkout.

Domestic fulfilment replaces that structure. Standard delivery is $5.95 with a transit time of three to seven business days, and is provided at no cost on orders above $50. Express delivery is $15.95 with a transit time of two to four business days. Both services carry tracking and ship through UPS and USPS. Because the shipments are domestic, no customs duties or clearance fees apply.

For an order above the $50 threshold, the change removes the shipping charge entirely. For a smaller order, the standard rate falls from $40 to $5.95, a reduction of roughly 85 percent, with the customs exposure removed in both cases.

"Shipping was the friction point in the United States, not the product," said Adnan Murad, Chief Operating Officer of Reeh Al Madinah. "A forty dollar charge and a customs bill on the doorstep made a second purchase unlikely, however much a customer liked the fragrance. Domestic fulfillment lets us quote a final price at checkout, which is what customers had been asking for."

The transition was led by Farid Chowdhury, Managing Director of Reeh Al Madinah, who oversees the company's global operations and managed the New York fulfillment setup, carrier selection and the transfer of US stock from the United Kingdom.

"We moved the inventory before we changed a single rate on the website," said Farid Chowdhury. "Stock had to be on the ground in New York, the carrier accounts had to be tested, and the delivery estimates had to be ones we could actually meet. Only then did we publish the new rates."

The company said the shipping page, checkout rates and delivery estimates on reehalmadinah.com have been updated to match the new structure. Canada is excluded from the free shipping threshold and continues to be quoted separately at checkout.

Product availability
The company's US catalogue is led by the Nasmah Collection, introduced in Dubai in October 2025 with three eau de parfums, Velmos, Rubesse and Darven Oud, and three all over sprays, Gyselle, Oud Velle and Canario. Five further eau de parfums were added on 19 July 2026 at a launch event at the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre in London, attended by champion boxer Hamza Uddin: Café Fire, Citraya Musk, Tobacco Matcha, Spécila and Winter's Love. All eleven are held at the New York facility alongside the company's oud and attar (perfume oil) lines.

Reeh Al Madinah continues to operate from the United Arab Emirates with a branch in the United Kingdom serving UK and European customers.
